Ted Barth
Ted Barth founded BNW Manufacturing after 30 years line management experience as a “turnaround Plant Manager” managing seven plants in five states with Emerson Electric Corporation- one of the Ten Best Managed Manufacturing companies in the U.S. During that career he managed high volume products to job shop tools & dies; electric motors, heating elements, power and plumbing tools, packaging machines, fabrication. His operational functions he managed ranged from Manufacturing Engineering- Tool, Industrial, Facility, Project; Materials Management; and Plant Management.
These roles always required project management of improvement and support projects on capital equipment investment, cost reduction, re- engineering, new product development, materials/ MRP systems and building/ office renovation/ construction. He distinguished his project roles through outstanding project performance by managing the largest new product development program in company history which reduced product manufacturing cost by 50%; the FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) which was awarded “one of the 40 most advanced manufacturing processes in the U.S.” by MMTC (Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center); and various re-engineering process projects which reduced one cost component by more than 50% each.
As the Managing Partner of BNW Manufacturing Associates, Mr. Barth is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Program and Project Management, Resource Management and Capacity Management. This expertise typically produces “High Performance” solutions by leveraging the use of PMBOK principles; his extensive line management experience; knowledge transfer; and a suite of best practices in utilization of project scheduling tools to measure and improve project schedule performance and project budget performance. BNW’s proprietary Project Management Maturity step by step approach and use of the latest Enterprise Project Management and web based technologies allows clients to accelerate their Project Management Office initiatives by reducing the maturity cycle from years to months.

Mr. Barth professional society affiliations include active in Project Management Institute (PMI) serving as President of the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter of PMI in year 2000 where he doubled the size of that chapter to be the 7th largest U.S. Chapter, the Founding Director of Michigan Huron Valley Chapter of PMI in 2001, and an active member in PDMA (Product Development Management Association). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
