The Course For Project Managers Trapped in a Powerless Matrix World
It is a disheartening feeling to know that often the success or failure of your project is in the hands of skilled workers who DON’T work for you! You can’t control their schedule. You don’t approve their salary. But, they decide the fate of your project. What to do?
This one-of-a-kind learning program will demonstrate how program, project or task managers can easily utilize simple tools and techniques to influence and inspire the “loaned” matrix resources that have been assigned to help accomplish project and organizational objectives. Lee R. Lambert will artfully describe and illustrate the power of these concepts—especially when combined with common project management related information—by citing specific examples from three very successful, real-world, projects.
Assessment instruments will provide a framework to create a human baseline for realizing the possibilities of influencing those project resources who don’t report to you. Utilizing the potential of these tools, participants will learn how to enhance productivity and project loyalty while developing high performance teams as they seek the answers to the following triple constraint questions:
1) What’s in it for me;
2) What’s in it for you; and
3) What’s in it for the Organization?
