What are PDUs?
Registered Education Providers (REPs) are organizations approved by PMI to offer
project management training for Professional Development Units (PDU). Organizations
applying for REP status must verify compliance with a strict set of criteria, including
review of course materials, use of PMP certified instructors and established experience
in project management training design and delivery.
Professional Development Units (PDU) are a measure of contact hours spent in structured
learning activity and can only be awarded by Registered Education Providers (REP).
One PDU/contact hour is earned for each hour spent in a planned, structured learning
experience or activity.
Candidates applying for certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
must meet certain eligibility criteria, one of which is obtaining 35 credit hours
of project management education. Once the PMP certification process is complete,
certified PMPs must accrue a minimum of 60 PDUs per three year cycle to maintain
certification status.
Lambert Consulting Group, Inc. has been a Global Registered Education Provider for
almost 7 years. As a global member, LCG may register an unlimited number of courses
in the REP database, so virtually every project management course offered can have
associated PDUs awarded to desiring students.
